OKR Check-in
Track progress with weekly updates and status changes
What are Check-ins?
Check-ins are regular updates (typically weekly) where you track progress on key results and update the status of your objectives. This keeps everyone aligned and aware of progress.
Key Activities
- • Update key result values
- • Change progress status
- • Add progress notes
- • Flag blockers or risks
Check-in Frequency
- • Weekly: Most common (recommended)
- • Bi-weekly: For longer cycles
- • As needed: When significant changes occur
How It Works
During Check-in
- 1. Navigate to OKR Check-in (Running)
- 2. Select an objective
- 3. Update key result values
- 4. Change progress status
- 5. Add notes or comments
- 6. Save changes
What to Update
- • Current value vs. target value
- • Progress status (On Track, At Risk, etc.)
- • Notes on progress or challenges
- • Any blockers or dependencies
Check-in Best Practices
- • Be honest about progress - transparency is key
- • Update consistently on the same day each week
- • Add context in notes for significant changes
- • Flag issues early rather than waiting
Progress Status
Progress status provides a quick visual indicator of how your OKR is tracking toward its goal.

Status Signals
Red and yellow statuses are not failures - they're signals to adjust priorities, get help, or reassess the objective. Use them to drive conversations.
